Meet the Solo Advisor Team
Joy Bridwell
Joy Bridwell is the Librarian at the Stone Child College/Rocky Boy Public Library (SCC/RBPL) on the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Northcentral Montana. She is a proud member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe and is the 2026 President-Elect for the American Indian Library Association. She has been working at SCC/RBPL for almost seventeen years.
Brooke Doyle
Brooke joined the WebJunction team in 2017 to work on Supercharged Storytimes for All. Brooke’s expertise in curriculum development and grant management serve her well at WebJunction where some of her projects include Creating Pathways to Civil Legal Justice and Digital Collections Stewardship. She has a real interest in how libraries can be places of connection for all. Brooke has an Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s and a MEd. from the University of Virginia.
Bree Drapa
Bree Drapa is the Library Director of the South Burlington Public Library in Vermont, leading a “Vermont Urban” library serving nearly 21,000 residents and working to remove barriers to access. She previously directed the Westford Public Library for almost 14 years (9 of those as a Solo Librarian), developing a passion for solo librarianship and small and rural libraries.
She is part of ARSL’s Outstanding in Their Field Leadership Institute, co-hosts the monthly “Solo-ish Librarian Happy Hour,” and has chaired the 2023 and 2024 ARSL National Conferences. Her path as an “accidental librarian” builds on earlier experience as a high school history teacher, community advocate, and mother of three.
Sara Jones
Sara Jones is the Washington State Librarian, overseeing the Washington State Library within the Office of the Secretary of State. In this role, she manages institutional library services at 12 locations, directs the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library, administers federal and grant funding, and preserves the state library’s historical and government collections. She previously served as Director of the Marin County Free Library and spent over 25 years in Nevada libraries, including roles as Nevada State Librarian and director of multiple city and county library systems.

Erica Moses
Erica Moses is the Director of the Belmont Literary & Historical Society Free Library in rural western New York where she creates meaningful connections through books, programming, and unexpected magic. Recognized as ARSL’s 2025 Solo Library of the Year, Erica is dedicated to transforming rural library work through creativity, resourcefulness, and a deep commitment to access and equity.
Chelsea Price

Chelsea Price has been the director of the Meservey Public Library in Meservey, Iowa (population 220) since 2015. Her book, 209 Big Programming Ideas for Small Budgets, was published by ALA Editions in October of 2020. Chelsea's favorite parts of her job are programming and community-building.
Cathy Zimmerman

Cathy Zimmerman is the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services Executive Director. She has over 20 years of experience with small and rural library outreach, many of those years spent as a solo librarian.
